. MUNFW publishes two annual publications which are primarily for use by students attending the Annual Conference, The Delegate Handbook and The Issues Book. In addition, MUNFW publishes other documents related to the organization and administration of MUN clubs and classes for use by collegiate faculty and students. All MUNFW publications are formatted as Adobe Acrobat PDF files so they may be easily downloaded. You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 3 to open these files once you have downloaded them. You can download it here if you need it. The Hand books are also available as zipped "Word" docs if you prefer. Delegate Handbooks The Delegate Handbook is a delegates guide to participation at the Annual Conference. It is divided into three individual books. Book 1 contains basic information on the UN, the MUNFW, and roleplaying, Download Book1.doc Book 2 contains information on research and preparation as a delegate, preparing policy statements and resolutions. Every delegate should have a copy of this book. This guide provides a variety of information regarding preparation and participation in the MUNFW simulation. It is organized in a calendar fashion with dates when certain activities should be conducted and due dates for required documents, payments and available resources. The time table is based on the Sessional year - May 1 through April 30. Depending on the structure of the MUN program at your school, the suggested dates for some activities will not coordinate with your class/club meetings. The guide´s time table/activities are based the an ideal model wherein the MUN group meets during the fall period as a club and during the winter or spring period as a class. Many schools squeeze the entire preparation time into a winter quarter (approx 10 to 12 weeks) without encountering major problems. This Guide is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all students who participate in the MUNFW simulation. Download Book 3 docIssues Book The Annual Issues Book provides delegates with basic overview information on the agenda topics that are to be debated at conference. Each agenda item is presented with historical background, current status and a general direction to pursue in conducting additional research. Available after October 15, 2001. It provides information on organizing, fund-raising and administrative operations.
